The Curry night was a great success all due to Andy's cooking skills.

We hold an annual Open/Fun day each summer to raise money for our local charities. This year we have chosen Air Ambulance and First Responders. This event gets bigger every year.

 

 

We sell home made jam and cakes. Marjorie and Barbara are setting out the stall with Sandra in the background selling tea and coffee.

 

 

 

 

Tombola. Every one's a winner on this stall at a £1 a go.

We also have a raffle and a lucky dip for the Children.

It may have been a bad year for growers but we still held our Fruit and Vegetable show. The judges were impressed with the produce which was sold off later in the afternoon.

 

 

Runner beans and French beans entered in the show.

 

As well as flowers we introduced something new which was a vase  of foliage

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is always work to be done in the office. Dave is on the phone and Peter is printing out posters for the show.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Childrens entry for miniature garden in a seed tray was won by Onyx Butler. He also won first prize in the Kings Heath Show. Well done Onyx.

A coffee morning was held on Saturday 29th September in aid of the Macmillan Nurses.

We served tea and coffee with delicious home made cakes and raised £65.00.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In December we hold our Christmas Fayre. Andy our Chairman makes a great pumpkin soup and mulled wine. Also on the menu is samosa and beef burgers.

It proved to be so popular that we sold out after a few hours.

 

All proceeds as usual to Air Ambulance and First Responders.

The Christmas meal was held at the Golden Hind and every one had a jolly good time.
